About Department
Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension has been started at Samarth College, Lakhani. Prof. Lalchand N.Meshram (Head of Department) is serving as responsibilities. Lifelong Learning and Extension Board has been provided under the Maharashtra University Act to fulfill the objective of creating skilled manpower in today's competitive era. Lifelong learning and extension department working under this board has been working for the development of the backward elements of the society for the last few years. It is working to make the unemployed youth who have completed graduation and post-graduation education employable and skilled through various and innovative courses.
According to Section 45 of the University Act, 1994, the University is entrusted with the responsibility of creating partnerships at strategic and functional level between various research institutes and the Government in accordance with the objectives of the Board of Adult Education and Continuing Education and Extension Services. Lifelong learning, life skills etc. for senior citizens. Therefore, the department has adopted a pilot strategy to create and implement special skill courses as an alternative to the formal education process in the changing life course and in technical life, to provide employment opportunities to university students in start-up industries.
The Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension is trying to teach skill certificate courses to college students in collaboration with colleges and social service organizations to help students pass out of junior colleges to achieve economic upliftment based on their own skills.
